Impian ku.....

I've always dreamed of having my own restaurant or cafe. Well, I did have it once in 2002 which I shared with a partner. Business was really good and our small cafe was a hit that time. Simple dish... good services..ambience was great and the best thing, my workers were really good. After all its not easy to get a worker whose very committed with their work. However it doesn't last long as we had some problems with the surrounding... Local authority approved new project at the main area. Stall kind of "Ravi SS15" was developed and even worst Mamak Bistro built and renovated the end lot permanently.

Business affected gradually..well who one to eat with dust and noise surrounds...definitely its a NO... Sales dropped hugely, normal sales will be around 20k-25k a month but we could only made around 11 k or less. Public enjoyed the new style of stall which offered more choices... as there were 15 stalls offered 15 different concepts and menu. " How are we goin to survive like this"... it last me for the next 6 months and I said its not cost effective to run a business like this. So I decided to surrender my share to my partner "Cikgu"( he is a teacher anyway). He managed for a while but I heard he sold it to one of our worker.

Hmmmm..... I always said to myself that I would have my own again coz that is what I've always dream off. Though my cook by only Look, listen, feel , taste and try concept I believe one fine day I'll have one. The menu will be light and easy and services will be fast. Food and beverages will come in time (waiting time given in menu list) If you don't get your meal in 15 mins we paid everything. If you brings more than 3 persons your drinks will be free. (less RM3) Operation hours will only from 3 - 12 since people spent more time during that hours. I also believe we are human and my worker need to rest also and If they have enough rest production will be better.

And with some additional advantages..of course it will be hotspot (Wi-Fi) free..especially for bloggers. They just need to advertise in their blog to get a free samosa ( I just got the supplier) and maybe a karipap (you know who) accompanied with a tea or coffee...Cheese cake in the list also...hehehhe. Hmmmmmmm So nice to have a day dream....
Somehow someday ..... I'll make my dreams a reality. Insyaallah.

Kerja banyak + Puasa + lapar + dugaan + flu = LPLS

Kalau ikutkan hati memang nak jer duduk kat rumah tengok dvd ker or astro sambil melayan kerenah anak-anak. Tapi yang pastinya semua itu tidak berlaku sebab dek penangan kerja kat ofis yang tak pernah nak surut lagi bertambah ada lar. Dua tiga hari yang lepas memang lar menduga imanku sebab aku dah sampai tahap hingusanku mengalir macam air pili yang tutup tak habis.. nak makan ubat tak leh sebab puasa nak tahan tahan tak leh pulak so yang terbaik kotak tisu disebelah sambil mengelap bendalir tu. Kat rumah pun sama gak lar..kejap2 sok sek sok sek sampai satu tahap nak kerat jer hidung bagi senang flu keluar tapi redha jer lar. Terawih pun dah 2 hari tak pergi penangan kesakitan bendalir mengalir ni...bukan nak bagi alasan tapi kalau dah menganggu orang-orang yang di sebelah confirm tak khusyuk solat so dok diam2 kat rumah lagi afdal.
Last week sempat berbuka puasa di Surau Al-Barokah Kg Bukit Cherakah. Menu sangat menarik (ikan keli goreng masak cili..ikan masin kecik2 yang saiznye sebesar ibu jari, kobis masak lemak putih, sambal belacan dan ulaman)hmmmm simple but menarik beb. Tengok orang sebelah makan bukan main laju lagi siap bertambah tapi mungkin sebab berkat puasa,aku makan sikit terus kenyang. Kekadang bila turun ke kampung-kampung macam ni rasa seronok ada rasa sedih pun ada, kat rumah kalau lauk tak penuh meja tak sah...air 3 macam,kuih lagi lar..... sampai tak tau nak makan yang mana. Tapi kat kampung ni lain sebab aku rasa kesederhanaan yang diamalkan adalah yang terbaik dalam ekonomi yang merundum ni.
Last weekend juga sempat ajak parents and adik2 datang berbuka puasa di rumah. Menu yang aku buat simple jer...Nasi Air tapi condimentnye ada macam-macam.Diana' signature dish definitely Daging Kicap Power menjadi pelengkap. Paling best sekali resepi ibu angkat di Kg Ulu Pueh (Penyanyi lagu Imran Ajmain sure ingat)..pehh sedap giler beb. Sambal Ikan bilis goreng cili Hijau.hhmmm telior lak. Sempat buat Sago Gula Melaka yang disirami kuah santan dan gula perang ....( hmmm cubaan betul lar, bulan puasa buat cerita makan sungguh memberahikan).
Begitulah al-kisahnyer tapi sebelum tu last week jugalah anak buah ku berangkat balik ke Milan setelah cuti utk 3 bulan di K.L. Pejam kelip pejam... dah besar dah and almost 3 years kat sana. Adriana and Amaleea dah comfortable and happy jer bila dia orang ada. To Mira, Amir and Aisyah..we love you so much and take care. See you again in Milan next year, adios ...InsyaAllah.

Jalan-jalan cari makan

Hari ni saya mau cerita sedikit tentang persinggahan saya di sebuah gerai di Kuala Sulaman Sabah. Perjalanan pulang dari Poring (Hot Water Spring) 100 km dari Kota Kinabalu agak meletihkan sebab trafik agak sibuk waktu petang compared kalau nak compared masa pergi pagi tadi. Nasib baik uncle aku bagi kereta auto so takda masalah lah nak menukar-nukar gear.

Saya pun tidak pasti kalau saudara-saudari pernah merasa sejenis makanan laut yang dipanggil lokan. Rasanya seakan-akan kupang atau kupah kemudian dicicah pula dengan sos lada kampung atau cili sos biasa yang rasanya memang superb sehingga menjilat jari. Cara masakan very easy... everything will be grilled on fire. Harganya boleh tahan gak lar sekilo yang kecil RM7 dan yang besar RM10 tapi kalau nak best beli yang kecil jer sebab rasanya lebih enak . Kalau yang besar tu dia kenyal sikit tapi apa-apa pun memang sodap baaa.....

So kalau ada kesempatan singgah lar kedai ini yer bukan promosi tapi just to share. Anyway the other night we all pergi ke Kuala Sulaman sekali lagi, actually tak jauh sangat pun from K.K and this time we had our seafood such as Ketam, Udang, Ikan and Sotong. Nama kedai tu GAYANG bukan ganyang yer. Not bad, ada more than 50 tables kalau nak privacy boleh ambil private room and kalau nak best lagi private room with karaoke.... (dan mungkin bila nanti....hehehe sampai lar lagu tak kuar2). Anyway we all ambil yang biasa jer senang sikit for the children.
All together 8 adults and 4 children we all habis dalam RM 250 so boleh kata reasonable gak lar kalau nak compared dengan restoran seafood kat K.L or kat S.J. Udang dan ketam sangat fresh sampai terasa kemanisan isinya walaupun dimasak secara steam sahaja. Oklah kita tinggalkan cerita seafood and nak promote sedikit gerai DIMSUM di 1Borneo (pronounce as One Borneo). This food stall owned by my untie nyer future besan and now being my mom's frens (Pic bwh : my mom with owner(untie Sara). Located in the food court area at the 2nd floor.


Uols kena beli kupon dulu baru boleh buat pesanan. Harga boleh tahan..depends on what type of dimsum you want, price range from RM3.50 to RM 10.50. Must try the Pau coz very the nice maaa...and also the chicken herbs dimsum.. Above all, this is a muslim stall and definitely its halal.
